Head News: People Spend More Than They Earn. Is This Classified As Social Issue?

According to WordNet, BANKRUPTCY is a state of complete lack of some abstract property or failure/ inability to discharge all your debts as they come due “the company had to declare bankruptcy", or it is a legal process intended to insure equality among the creditors of a corporation declared to be insolvent.

Are people spending more than their earnings, especially the young adults? Where do people get so much of money? The banks offer them to get credit cards and encourage them to spend more, and when they spend over budget and they are unable to put up with the debts, the bank declares them as bankruptcies. People spend more than they can afford to satisfy their wants. Is this a necessity in today’s society? Due to this, that is why there are so many people going bankrupt.

Let us have a look at ‘The Seattle Time, Washington’ on the 24th of November 2008 where the percentage of bankruptcy has rise to 40%. This state is ranked 12th in the America Nation with the most bankruptcy. It is to be said, “Bankruptcy filings state wide are up 40 percent from a year ago — the highest level since Congress changed the law in 2005 and made it tougher for people to cancel their debts”. This news is based on the rise on bankruptcy where American citizens are unable to pay off their housing debts.

What has happened has already been done. People make mistakes. However, when there is so many social issues out there that are unsolved, do we need another one adding to our list?

The question here is that how are we going to help solve this current social issue on spending more than we earn?

The legal age in UK for smoking is 18 years old. Looking at the statistics that shows 14% of teenage between 13-15 years starts smoking.
This is a very irresponsible act to do, but with the current generation, "the cool factor" and the peer pressure that teenagers receive today, is very likely for them to start smoking. They do know it is bad for health but they still do smoke so that they are accepted to groups and some are due to family issues.
Smoking harms their health and brings many diseases. Many medical bodies have been trying to create and they have created ways of cutting down smoking but it just does not seem to help.

If you had a 15-year-old child under your wings, with many diseases that smoking brings what would you do to help him/her to stop smoking?

How Well Can Americans Accept a Black President?

Victory at last after battling for a long time. His words, "CHANGE WE NEED", President Barack Obama, the first ever in America's history a Black-American was voted to take the stand. On the 4th of November 2008, the lives of Americans changed overnight. He won the election by 53% beating Mc Cain with 46%.

Let’s rewind back to America's 35th President that is President John-F Kennedy. Where he was assassinated in a parade. Well, he was elected as the US President but he was still killed. Connecting this to President Barack Obama, will he be caught in this situation? Voting him is one thing, but accepting him is another.
So, the question is how well can AMERICANS ACCEPT a Black-American President?

Racism in Asia.
In Cambodia, there has been a strong anti-Vietnamese sentiment. Where else, in Indonesia there has been a lot of violence against the affluent Chinese population who have been blamed for economic problems that have plagued the country in recent years and as noted by Wikipedia in an article on racism, “until 2003, Malaysia enforced discriminatory laws limiting access to university education for Chinese students who are citizens by birth of Malaysia, and many other laws explicitly favoring bumiputras (Malays) remain in force.”

Look at what is going on in today's society. Even educated people are being racist. Why is there a need of being racist when we all share the same mother earth and sky? More over when we live in the same country and society. Think about what is going to happen to our next generation if the act of racism still goes on. The world will never be a better place to stay in.

Do you know that according to The Center of Bio-Ethical Reform that the number of abortions per year are approximately 42 Million and the number of abortions per day is approximately 115,000 worldwide? 83% of all abortions are obtained in developing countries and 17% occur in developed countries.

Abortion according to the teaching of religion is wrong but do we really want to see more babies being killed or being left around at the side of the road just because pregnancy before marriage is an issue or mothers cannot affort to raise their children?

Recently in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, on the 15th of October 2008 in New Straits Time, a 21 year old mother was caught for leaving her baby in a mosque causing the death of the baby.
